When Maria Heckscher , a world renowned A-List celebrity stylist , wanted to open the new Framesi Flagship Salon on 30A, she needed to not just compete with the other luxury salons on the road, but create something very unique and outshine them. Not an easy feat when you live in a place like #rosemarybeach, #watersound, #seaside Florida. But with her keen eye for high end lux finishes, textures and color and Framesi, a global leader in haircare products and color behind her, MHSALON30A came together like the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Light heather grey, italian leather salon chairs, electric reclining shampoo chairs, marble counters and gorgeous mirrors and the crowning show piece, an authentic classic barber chair that looks like it was removed from Armani’s personal barbers house, all showcase what it means to be an Italian Luxury Hair Salon & Barbershop.
The next challenge was to make her ads stand out from the other salons. That’s where #themassagemillionaire comes in. After an initial brainstorming session over a delicious bottle of Pinot, a must when conducting business with an Italian company, we reviewed all the areas ads in the local magazines. The consensus was the same. Pretty hair, pretty hair, pretty hair…we didn’t stop to read the ad. Oh, we looked at them, but we didn’t “read” them. It wasn’t until we began to get a little silly with ideas we had a Eureka moment! We came up with a plan. We played with the ad until we got the desired effect. Your brain makes you stop and “look and read”..not just gloss over because your brain will fill in what it is use to. Her ad makes you stop and read it. It not only fits her tag line: “Life is too short to have boring hair.” But it shows you her brands tag line brought to life while maintaining luxury, class and style but with a little fun. i think it came out amazing. But I designed it, so of course I do. (wink)
